PGDs: Empowering pharmacy technicians to provide services : CPPE This interactive workshop is designed specifically to help pharmacy technicians now authorised to use Patient Group Directions (PGDs) to step confidently into their expanding role. You’ll gain the tools and confidence to make safe, informed supply and non-supply decisions, removing the uncertainty that often comes with new clinical responsibilities.

Blood pressure assessment in community pharmacy: essential skills : CPPE Build the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver person-centred consultations and clinical assessments as part of the NHS Hypertension Case-Finding Service (HCFS). It includes practical skills training supported by a clinical demonstrator.

PGDs: Empowering Pharmacy Technicians to Provide Services Online Workshop – booking now open
CPPE are running an online version of their PGDs: Empowering pharmacy technicians to provide services workshop at 7pm on the 24th March 2026, designed to help Pharmacy Technician’s apply their skills and knowledge confidently and competently when using Patient Group Directions (PGDs) to deliver NHS services. At this event, Pharmacy Technicians will:
- Practice consultation scenarios with peers to develop confidence in supplying medicines using PGDs
- Explore challenges and solutions when providing services using PGDs, using the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service and Smoking Cessation Service as examples
- Reflect on their readiness to expand their role and support access to services to benefit patients and their organisation.
