MUST when presented with prescriptions for Levemir® products, after ensuring the patient has sufficient insulin, refer patients back to their prescriber, highlighting the need to switch to an alternative insulin due to the imminent Levemir® discontinuation. Please see full guidance in the alert.

Patients
For patients currently use Levemir®, it is important that they contact the healthcare team responsible for prescribing and managing their insulin so the team can review their treatment and arrange an appropriate alternative insulin.
