The 2025/26 scheme began on 1st April 2025 and has a declaration period between 9 am on 2nd February 2026 and 11.59 pm on 27th February 2026. Pharmacy owners must have evidence to demonstrate meeting the domains that they have claimed by the end of 31st March 2026. It has £30 million funding available, and pharmacy owners will be able to claim an Aspiration payment if they wish to between 9 am on 1st May 2025 and 11.59 pm on 16th May 2025.


Local Information Regarding Palliative Care

As part of the Pharmacy Quality Scheme for 2025/26, pharmacies must have in place an action plan to use when they do not have the required stock of the 16 palliative and end-of-life critical medicines and/or parenteral haloperidol available for a patient.

Additionally, you can use the Service Finder on the NHS England Digital website. Enter your location and the service you need, such as “Pharmacy Palliative Care” or “Medication Stockholder.” This feature will generate a list of pharmacies that have updated their service information in both the NHS website profile and their Directory of Services (DoS) profile.
