SNEE ICB Workforce Support

The ‘Can Do’ SNEE Pharmacy Workforce Strategy was adopted by the Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) ICS in October 2022. It was devised in response to the significant strain on pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other team members and the need for a joined-up approach in SNEE to address current and future workforce challenges.

The workforce crisis affecting community pharmacy is particularly acute in the East of England and we are work closely with ICS colleagues to support contractors with the multifaceted issues around recruitment, retention and retaining staff.

Opportunity to host a Trainee Pharmacist

Suffolk and north east Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE ICB) has listed additional places on Oriel to support placements for the 2025-26 cohort of Foundation Year Trainee Pharmacists (formerly pre-registration trainee pharmacists).

It is not too late for your pharmacy to benefit from this additional funding and host a trainee pharmacist in 2025-26.

Please see you NHS premises email account for further details about the funding arrangements and the support available from the ICB.

The deadline for expressions of interest is no later than Monday 22nd April 2024.
