How to Contact Your MP

In the run-up to the next Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) negotiations, expected to begin in autumn 2025, it is more important than ever for pharmacy Contractors to engage with their local MPs.

We strongly encourage you to make personal contact with your MP as a constituent and give your personal view of the recent CPAF announcement and what this means for your business, your team and your patients.

As a constituent, your message carries more weight; MPs are much more likely to respond to direct contact from those they represent, compared to broader approaches from LPCs.

You can easily identify and contact your local MP using the Find My MP tool.

What to Include in Your Message

When contacting your MP, consider sharing:

  • Your personal experience and views following the CPAF announcement
  • The impact on your business, workforce, and service delivery
  • The value of your pharmacy to the local community

We also recommend attaching the following key resources to support your message:

These materials help provide MPs with a clear and evidence-based understanding of the national picture and the urgent need for sustainable funding and support.

NB: If you do manage to secure an MP visit, CPNS will support you with the visit and ensure a personalised briefing is available for them to take away on the day that covers the key statistics for their area.

Please email us via info@cpns.org.uk to inform us of any MP engagement.
