The Way To Go – Free walking, Wheeling, Cycling Activities in Suffolk

THIS PILOT IS IN ITS SECOND YEAR – OFFERING SERVICES ACROSS LOWESTOFT AND IPSWICH.

The Way To Go is a Social Prescribing Pilot offering free walking and cycling scheme to promote and encourage active travel and improve physical and mental health cycling and wheeling activities to keep you well and active in Ipswich and Lowestoft. The Way To Go provide qualified instructors to lead short strolls through to longer walks, from learning to ride a bike through to longer led bike rides. Equipment is available to borrow on request including the bikes e-bikes and helmets. They also run dementia-friendly walks and provide a family offering.

The Way To Go Suffolk welcomes referrals from health professionals, which can be made via email at thewaytogosuffolk@suffolk.gov.uk or by calling 01473 260060. An online referral form will also be available soon. Anyone aged 18 and over can Self-refer these referrals can be made using the same methods.
