Working Well Norfolk supports Norfolk residents into work

Working Well Norfolk is an employment support project which helps Norfolk residents living with long-term health conditions or impairments to quickly move into work and to support them to stay in work. The scheme provides personalised 1:1 support to those experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, physical disabilities and those experiencing other long-term sickness or disability that impacts their daily activities.

To be eligible to the programme, participants must:

  • Be Norfolk residents
  • Be 18 years old or over (please note the programme will open to 16+ shortly)
  • Have a physical or mental health disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010
  • Have an entitlement to public funds
  • not be receiving employment support, other than from Jobcentre Plus
  • If an individual is already in-work, they must have been employed for at least 6 months before starting Working Well Norfolk and be working a minimum of 7 hours per week
  • This is a voluntary programme so individuals must be willing to participate in Working Well Norfolk to remain in paid work or be willing to find and sustain paid work
  • Individuals may or may not be in receipt of DWP benefits

Support can be provided for a period of up to 12 months for out of work participants who require support to move into and to stay in sustainable employment and in-work participants who are employed and either off-sick or struggling in the workplace due to their disability can be supported for a period up to 4 months.
